We want to create a platform that unites a community that didn't know it existed - for the fighters who deserve to be recognized.

Our names are Chloe Staines (left) and Eloise McIntosh (right), and we are currently in our third years at Queen's University.

Our Purpose

"We had an idea for a company, but the passion kept growing and we didn't want to stop there."

About two weeks ago, we were in the midst of creating our first company, Good Hood. A Shopify Loungewear company, selling hoodies to our community in support of the Paediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. As a cancer survivor, Eloise spent the entirety of her treatment in loungewear, something that she shares with many cancer survivors. But there was something more here, there lay a community and we wanted to bring it to life.

The Good Hood Club

Thus was born the Good Hood Club, a community brand that brings people together from all different walks of life who all share something in common. The impact of cancer touches many people and we wanted to bridge them together through a united supportive community. These hoodies are more than a stylish piece to add to your wardrobe, they hold meaning and a story. Their purpose is that no matter how hard life may seem, you have a Good Hood Club that will support you through it all.

The Passion Grew...

""We had an idea for a company, but the passion kept growing and we didn't want to stop there."

When discussing what we wanted Good Hood to mean, we found ourselves on hour long tangents about how much further the Good Hood Club expanded. We want this to be a community that is not only supporting cancer survivors and cancer organizations, but a community that supports anyone going through a battle. Life is a fight, and at every roadblock it can feel like there is no getting around it. Whether you are suffering with mental health, your education, financial distress, etc., YOU'RE NOT ALONE. That is why we created this blog, Fight Club.

First Rule of Fight Club...

is that there are no rules. This blog to us has no boundaries, there is no scale that measures what is considered a true challenge in someones life. We want to expose it all, the nitty-gritty, the brutal truth, life is hard af.

Throughout this blog you will find interviews that we will record with strong and inspiring individuals who have overcome challenges that have made them a member of the Fight Club. Our hope is that through these unique and uplifting stories, our readers will find their place in our club, realizing they aren't alone in this fight.

You're Stronger Than You Think,
